We all have a price
Check out youwhores.com and let everybody know what you’re prepared to do for money. It doesn’t even need to be degrading, just doable, and if you’re really good you’ll win a black star.
Black Stars are awarded to submissions that show superior creativity at the same time as offering a deliverable service at a realistic price. I’ve won 3 of them and they’re the only awards I’m actually proud of.
Dad-rock
I seem to have reached that stage where everybody else who’s making or listening to modern music is younger than me.
In itself that’s not too worrying as my time for day-glo trainers and annoying haircuts is long gone, but what is worrying is that I’m now genuinely into folksy type stuff like Aqualung or Cherry Ghost. If it goes on like this I’m likely to end up thinking Coldplay are actually alright and if that happens I could, possibly, end up revising my views on the collected works of Queen and Genesis as my musical tastes ‘mature’.
This must be what the end feels like…rocking back and forth in a chair, drool hanging from your mouth and no real control over bowel movements, while an ipod that plays nothing but dad-rock is strapped to your head.
GONZO – photography by Hunter S. Thompson
Apparently this exhibition coincides with the release of Thompson’s final book, of the same name, and chronicles his life through his own photographs and memorabilia. Have a quick look at the snaps here.
Incidentally, I am quite impressed with the releasing a book and having an exhibition when you’re dead thing too.
Where are we going to get enough paper to handle all this paperwork?

One thing PC users can do that Mac users can’t
As a recent convert to the mac I wanted to see if I was missing out on anything by making the switch…turns out I might have. Listen to an angry man get it off his chest here
To be honest, I’ve never really understood all this mac vs. pc stuff, but while we’re on the subject let’s all laugh some more
